Kabul police spokesman Ferdows Faramarz told the Kabul Sobh newspaper that the incident took place at around 08:30 on Sunday (January 17) on the 10th street of Fathullah Qala in the 10th district of Kabul.

Mr. Faramarz did not comment on the identities of the victims; But he added that two women were killed and another was injured in the incident.

However, sources say that a female judge and a female employee of the Ministry of Education were killed and their driver was injured in the incident.

So far no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

For several months now, the level of violence has risen as the Afghan peace talks officially begin. In addition to the day-to-day fighting between Afghan security forces and the Taliban, which has also resulted in civilian casualties, the level of targeted assassinations and the detonation of magnetic mines in Kabul and other provinces has increased in recent months.

However, security agencies have repeatedly reported arrests on charges of involvement in assassinations and bombings; However, this has not had much effect on reducing terrorist activities.
