(Asian News Hub) – Around 50 diplomats, and other staff members at the Kandahar consulate in Afghanistan have been evacuated by India amid claims by the Taliban about taking control of territories in Afghanistan, NDTV reported quoting sources.
The Taliban claims to be in control of 85 percent of Afghanistan, including a key border crossing with Iran, according to an AFP report.
A full security review of Indian missions in Afghanistan is underway in the wake of the pull-out by American troops after nearly 20 years.
