New Delhi, Nov 11: At least twelve people were killed in a powerful explosion outside the district and sessions court building in Pakistan’s Islamabad G-11 area on Tuesday, officials said.
According to a senior Islamabad police officer quoted by Dawn, the exact nature of the blast is yet to be confirmed.
Visuals circulating on social media showed flames and thick smoke rising from a charred vehicle near a security barrier outside the court complex.

Eyewitness Rustam Malik, a lawyer present at the site, told AFP that the explosion triggered panic among people inside the court premises.
I had just parked my car and entered when I heard a loud explosion. Everyone started running in fear. I saw two bodies lying near the gate and several cars on fire,” Malik said.
