Insects were found in rice that was being served to the kids at two Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) centers located at Nehrpora locality in Sopore, KNO reported.

Concerned councilor, Irfan Ali while visiting the centres found the insects in the rice. He, however, directed the authorities to probe the issue.

“Rice is stored since months because it comes in a large quantity. This usually attracts bugs, but they can be removed,” the incharge Anganwadi teacher said.
