Srinagar, Feb 08: Iltija Mufti, daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, has alleged that both she and her mother have been placed under house arrest.

In a post on X, Iltija claimed that their residence gates were locked, restricting their movement.

According to Iltija, Mehbooba Mufti was scheduled to visit Sopore, where Waseem Mir was recently shot dead by security forces. Meanwhile, Iltija herself had planned to travel to Kathua to meet the family of Makhan Din. However, she stated that authorities have prevented them from stepping out.
