Hyderpora encounter: Prove Aamir a militant, we won’t ask for anything, says family

(Asian News Hub) – The family of youth from Ramban district killed in Hyderpora Srinagar encounter, who police claim was a militant associate, said that if authorities will prove that their son was a militant they won’t ask for anything.

Lateef Ahmad Magray father of Aamir Magray while talking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that after they had written to DC Ramban to hand over body of Aamir, they were asked to go north Kashmir and see his face but won’t return his body.

Magray said that they rejected the offer and told them “if they will give us body then and only then we will visit the graveyard but authorities didn’t accept it.”

He said that Aamir was 5th standard pass out and then pursued Mufti course from Kashmir and then decided to go for Aalim course to Deoband. However, due to lockdown he returned back and decided to go to Srinagar to earn livelihood.

He said that he had a one year agreement with Mudasir to work as a maid there at his office and he was also sending his salary mostly to her sister but he never visited home back after he went to Srinagar some six seven months before.

Magray said that he was almost daily taking with his family members on phone and on 13th and 14th November he also called us and two days later they heard that he has been killed in an encounter.

“He was innocent and if we would have ever found him involved in any anti national activity, I would have handed over him to police but since decade now police is guarding our residence in Ramban,” he said.

Magray, a PHE employee, said that for killing a militant with stone in year 2005, he along with his family had to migrate to Udhampur for six years “but now my son has been killed for being a militant and even dead body is being denied.”

He said that we are trying to meet to LG in this regard and seek justice and if government won’t return us body, “we will come on roads”.

The family members requested higher ups especially LG Manoj Sinha to return body and give them justice.

“They should prove him a militant. We won’t regret or ask for anything,” they said.

Pertinently four persons including a non local militant, two civilians from Srinagar and Aamir from Ramban were killed in an encounter in Hyderpora Srinagar on November 16.

Police said that Hyder was a non local militant, Aamir was a militant associate or hybrid militant, Altaf a complex owner was killed in cross firing and Mudasir Gul was an OGW, however, families rejected such claims.

All were buried in north Kashmir after authorities declined to return bodies citing law and order situation.

Later after protests from families, bodies of Altaf and Mudasir Gul were returned back and were buried in Srinagar, however, no word was uttered by authorities about the return of Aamir’s body.

(Asian News Hub) – An Army man was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside Badami Bagh cantonment Srinagar on Friday.

Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a 24-year-old soldier of Kilo Force identified as Signalman Anuj Singh of Banka, Bihar was found dead inside Badami Bagh Cantonment, Srinagar on Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, police has registered case in this regard and investigation has been launched to ascertain the cause of death.

It’s starlink satellite train in sky, no need to panic: ADGP Jammu

(Asian News Hub) – Additional Director General of Police for Jammu zone, Mukesh Singh Friday said that starlink satellite train was seen over sky in areas of Jammu which people mistook as mysterious light of an aerial object and there was no need to panic.

ADG of Police, Mukesh Singh told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that starlink train of satellites have been seen in sky in areas of Rajouri and Poonch.

“The mysterious light are of satellite of starlink train category, “said ADG Singh said.

Pertinent to mention here that Elon Musk starlink satellite train is a category of satellite which are often seen in the sky.

Earlier, on Friday evening, panic gripped in areas of Rajouri, Poonch and others parts of Jammu zone too after locals spotted mysterious lights in air. People mistook it as a drone while security forces were also put on high alert.

Residential house gutted in Mamar blaze

(Asian News Hub) – A residential house was partially gutted in a fire incident that broke out in Hariganiwan, Mamar area of Ganderbal district on Friday evening.

Reports reaching the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that the fire broke out in a residential house belonging to Qarisha Begum, wife of Late Muhammad Rafiq Kasana.

The firefighters and locals doused the flames and prevented the fire from spreading to nearby localities, witnesses said, adding that the residential house suffered partial damage.

One of the relatives of the fire victim told KNO that the property worth lakhs of rupees got damaged in the blaze.

The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained, an official, meanwhile, said.

Meanwhile, the local villagers urged the administration to compensate the losses of the downtrodden family at the earliest.

Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of the incident and has started investigation into the matter.
