Srinagar police on Thursday said to have busted a honey trap gang by arresting four persons including two women.

They said accused identified as Firdous Ahmed Mir of Rainawari (fake SP), Mohd Tariq Mir of lal bazar (Fake reporter), Ashiya of Bemina (pseudo honey trap girl), Masrat Mir of Habba kadal (fake crime branch officer) used to lure gullible people and extort money.
The Girl used to set up meeting with the gullible person. The other members of gang would impersonate as professionals like reporters, Police and then blackmail the victim. One house of female accused in Mehjoor Nagar
was used, they said.
Case under FIR no 68/2023 U/s 392,472,419 IPC at Sadar police station.
