At least four residential houses were damaged in a fire incident that broke out in the Habbakadal area of Srinagar on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
According to F&ES officials, the fire was reported at around 2:05 PM, prompting an immediate response from Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) teams from Gowkadal, Habakadal, and Headquarters Batamaloo.
Officials said the blaze initially engulfed two structures but later spread to adjoining houses, damaging a total of four residential buildings. The spread was attributed to public interference, lack of cooperation, and a gas cylinder explosion during the operation.
