Srinagar, June 03: An encounter has started between militants and security forces in Nihama area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district this morning.
Reports said that a joint team of security forces launched a Cordon-and-Search operation (CASO) in Nihama village of Pulwama district this morning.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an encounter.
“Encounter has started at Nihama area of District #Pulwama. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” Kashmir Zone Police informed on its official X handle.
