Srinagar, Aug 31: An encounter has started between security forces and militants in Bomai village of PD Sopore.

Reports reaching The Asian News Hub (ANH) said that joint team of security forces launched a Cordon-and-Search operation (CASO) in Bomai area of Sopore after receiving information about the presence of militants in the area.
They said that as the joint of forces approached towards the suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon them triggering an encounter.

As per sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped.
“Encounter has started at Bomai area of #Sopore. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.
