Sopore, Sept 24: An 85-year-old man was killed after being attacked by a wild bear in the Latishat Tujar area of Sopore on Wednesday morning.
Officials said the victim, identified as Mohd Rustum Lone, son of Ab Khaliq Lone, was working in his orchard between 8 and 9 am when the bear suddenly attacked him.
He suffered critical injuries and died soon after.

The incident has created panic in the locality. A wildlife team and police reached the spot, and further investigation has been started.(JKNS)
