A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel died after a branch of Chinar tree falls on him in Sonwar area of Srinagar.

An official told Asian News Hub (ANH) said that a CRPF jawan identified as Mahesh Singh of 79 Battalion was critically injured after a branch of Chinar tree fell on him near Amar club in Sonwar this evening.
He said that he was shifted to SKIMS soura for treatment in critical condition. However, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
