COVID19 : JK records deadliest day since outbreak, as 17 die in a day; JK toll 369

06 COVID19 related deaths were reported at SKIMS Soura, 02 at CD Hospital Srinagar, 02 at GMC Baramulla, 04 at SMHS Hospital Srinagar, 01 each at DH Pulwama, DH Shopian and GMC Jammu on Thursday.

Srinagar, July 30 (ANH): Seventeen more persons who had tested positive for COVID19 died in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, taking the toll of deaths related to COVID19 in UT’s of Jammu and Kashmir to 369.

Official told Asiannewshub, that seventeen patients who died due to virus include 52-year-old lady from Asahajipora village of Anantnag, 75-year-old woman from Shivpora Srinagar, 72-year-old man from Batamallo Srinagar, 55-year-old CRPF tropper, 67-year-old from Nawakadal Srinagar, 82-year-old from Lalbazar, 66-year-old woman from Keegam Shopian, 55-year-old man from Humhama Budgam, 70-year woman from Delina Baramulla, 75-year-old male from Kreeri Baramulla, 75-year-old man from Maldera village of Shopian, 80-year-old from Turkwangan village of Shopian, 64-year-old man from Hajin Bandipora, 65-year-old man from Natipora Srinagar, 70-year-old man from Drugmulla Kupwara, 70-year-Old lady from Shopian and 56-year-old woman from Shastri Nagar Jammu.

An official from SKIMS told Asiannewshub, that a lady from Asahjipora Anantnag, was admitted on 29 July, died on Thursday morning, she tested positive for COVID19 posthumously.

He added that a lady from Shivpora Srinagar who was admitted on 26 July with multiple ailments died on Thursday wee hours.

He added that a patient from Batamallo Srinagar who was admitted on 21 July with HTN and bilateral pneumonia also died in the intervening night of Wednesday-Thursday.

Regarding a CRPF man, he said that he was admitted on 27 July died on Thursday morning.

Regarding a patient from Nawakadal, he said that he was admitted on 18 July with high viral load, died on Thursday evening.

Regarding a patient from Lalbazar, he said that elderly man was admitted on 19 July, sccumbed on Thursday evening.

An official from CD hospital Srinagar said that a woman from Keegam Shopian who was admitted on 26 July died on Thursday morning.

He further added that a patient from Humhama Budgam who was admitted on 22 July also died on Thursday morning.

An official from GMC Baramulla told Asiannewshub, said that a man from Delina Baramulla was admitted on 26 July with bilateral pneumonia and hypertension died on Wednesday.

He added that a patient from Kreeri Baramulla who was diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia and tested positive for COVID19 on 27 July, died on Wednesday evening.

An official from DH Pulwama said that a man from Maldera Shopian, was admitted few days before with chest infection died on Thursday morning.

An official from DH Shopian said that a patient from Turkwangan was admitted days before, died on Thursday after testing positive for COVID19.

An official from SMHS hospital Srinagar said that a patient from Hajin was admitted on 25 July witb bilateral pneumonia died on Thursday afternoon.

Regarding a man from Natipora, he said that the patient tested positive for COVID19 posthumously.

Regarding a lady from Shopian, he said that patient was admitted on 28 July with Sepsis, died in wee hours on Thursday, tested positive after death.

Regarding a patient from Dragmulla, he said that patient was admitted with bilateral pneumonia died in Casualty, tested positive for COVID19 after death.

Official Sources at GMC Jammu said that a lady patient from Shastri Nagar was brought in unconcious stat to the hospital on 29 July and was suffering from type two Diabetes mellitus, had fever and cough three days back.

The patient had sudden collapse in Emergency, died on 29 July and was tested positive for COVID19 on Thursday after death.

With seventeen more deaths, the death toll has climbed to 369 including 343 from Kashmir division and 26 from Jammu division.(ANH)
