COVID-19 : No Itikaaf at Darul Uloom Raheemiah Bandipora

BANDIPORA : The Darul Uloom Raheemiah Bandipora have banned Itikaaf, this year  the decision has been made in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Itikaaf is a spiritual retreat in a mosque, usually held during the last 10 days of Ramadan, during which Muslims spend the evening and night in the mosque devoting their time to solitary prayers and reading the Quran.

“This year no Itikaaf will be performed here only Maulana Rahmtullah will Perform Itikaaf and it has been decided by the management of the Darul Uloom ,” official told Asian News Hub.

Those who want to perform Itikaaf here are requested to stay at home and they can do Itikaaf in the respective Mosques. Official added.

Kashmir’s largest Islamic Seminary Darul Uloom Raheemiyya Bandipora, was established in September 1979. The seminary also now runs a private educational institution in Bandipora town as name “Faiz-i-Aam Public School.(ANH)
