Cop among seven die of COVID in Kashmir, toll 933 in J-K

Srinagar, Sep 16 : Seven more patients including a cop, who were tested positive for COVID-19 died on Wednesday in Kashmir, thus taking the toll of deaths due to Novel Coronavirus to 933 in the Union Territory.

An official told Asiannewshub, that the patients who died on Wednesday in Kashmir include a lady from umer colony lal bazar Srinagar, 76-year-old man from jan mohalla Shopian, 40-year-old cop from Chadoora budgam, 28-year-old youth from gund ibrahim pattan Baramulla, 57-year-old lady from verinag Anantnag, 70-year-old man from nowhatta Srinagar and a man from Peerbagh Srinagar.

An official from SKIMS Soura told that a policeman from Chadoora posted at Accounts section of Police hospital Srinagar who was admitted at SKIMS died on Wednesday.

He added that a 28-year-old youth from Gund Ibrahim Pattan area of Baramulla and a lady from verinag Anantnag also died on Wednesday morning after testing positive for COVID19.

An official from CD Hospital said that a patient from nowhatta Srinagar who was admitted on September 14 died in the hospital on wednesday evening.

An official from SMHS said that a patient from Umar Colony Lal Bazar Srinagar and Peerbagh Srinagar who were suffering from billateral Pneumonia died on Wednesday.

An official from JVC SKIMS Bemina said that an elderly patient from Shopian who was admitted on 11 September died on Wednesday.

With seven more deaths, the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 933 including 185 from Jammu division and 748 from Kashmir division.
