Anantnag, April 03: A minor boy drowned to death in the river Jhelum in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir Anantnag district this afternoon, reports said.

Quoting reports news agency Kashmir Scroll said that a 06-year-old boy identified as Salil Ahmad Dar, son of Latif Ahmad dar, a resident of Gadhanjipora Bijbehara drowned in river jhelum in his native area.

They said that the boy was rescued and shifted to SDH Bijbehara, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started investigation.
