The event witnessed the presence of prominent religious scholars and representatives from different communities, including Mirwaiz Kashmir Molvi Mohammad Umar Farooq, President Anjuman-e-Sharia Shian Aga Syed Hassan, Kumar Prashad (President, Gandhi Peace Foundation), Masroor Abbas Ansari (President, Ittihad-ul-Muslimeen), Aga Syed Mujtaba (Deputy President, Anjuman-e-Sharia Shian), Satish Maldaar (President, JK Peace Forum), Professor Hamid Naseem Abadi, Swami Hariprasad, Chairman Wishu Mohan, and several other distinguished personalities.

Addressing the gathering, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq lauded the efforts of Anjuman-e-Sharia Shian and its president, Aga Syed Hassan, in bringing people of different faiths together to discuss solutions for societal issues through collaborative dialogue. He emphasized the importance of intra-societal and inter-societal dialogue as a means of resolving conflicts and strengthening communal harmony.

Mirwaiz further urged Kashmiri Pandits, Sikhs, and Muslims to engage in interfaith discussions to build a society that truly represents the essence of Kashmir’s pluralistic heritage. He also reiterated that peace can only be achieved through dialogue and understanding, opposing any separate rehabilitation plans for Kashmiri Pandits, instead advocating for their resettlement in their native places.

Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi, one of the book’s authors, highlighted the crucial role of interfaith dialogue in resolving societal challenges and fostering peace in Jammu and Kashmir. He stressed that such initiatives are the need of the hour to ensure harmony and coexistence.

The event concluded with a collective call for sustained efforts in promoting interfaith understanding as a means to achieve lasting peace and social cohesion in the region.
