Srinagar, Oct 17: The body of a man hailing from Ali Kadal area of Srinagar was found floating in the water near Safa Kadal area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
An official told that the body was spotted by locals, who then retrieved it.
He said soon police promptly reached the scene, and the body was taken to the hospital for medico-legal formalities.

The official added the deceased has been identified as Nadeem Fayaz Bhat, son of Fayaz Ahmad, a resident of Badgeer Ali Kadal, while cognizance of the matter has been taken.
He added that the body will be handed over to the family after the completion of legal proceedings. KNO
