Kulgam, Oct 30: The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Shopian team has recovered the partially decomposed body of a male from a river near Hutmate, approximately 1 km downstream from Aharbal, reports said.
The deceased has been identified as Adil Bashir, son of Bashir Ahmad from Nayid Pora, Ranawari, Srinagar, who had been missing since September 30, 2024.
Authorities had previously suspected suicide, with Bashir believed to have jumped into the Aharbal waterfall.
The body has been handed over to local police for further investigation and legal formalities.
