The body of a man who jumped into the river Jhelum from Cement Kadal Qamarwari on Wednesday has been retrieved on Saturday evening, reports said.

Reports reaching Asian News Hub (ANH) said that a man resident of Barthana, Qamarwari, had allegedly ended his life by jumping into the river Jhelum from Cement Kadal on Wednesday (28 June 2023).
They said that following the incident, a rescue operation was launched by a team of SDRF and river police Srinagar to retrieve the body.
After three days, the body was retrieved from river Jhelum in the Panzinara area of Srinagar outskirts, and the body was handed over to the family after medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident.
