Baramulla, Kishtwar accident: LG Sinha announces ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh for NoKs of deceased

Srinagar, Jan 31: Expressing profound sorrow over the recent accidents in Baramulla and Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha conveys heartfelt condolences to the affected families. In a prompt response, the government has declared an ex-gratia relief of Rs. 5 lakh for the next of kin of those who lost their lives and Rs. 1 lakh for the injured individuals.

Sinha emphasizes the need for expeditious assistance and has directed district administrations to provide comprehensive support to the affected families.

On X, office of LG J&K said, “Deeply saddened by the tragic accidents in Baramulla & Kishtwar. My thoughts are with the families who have lost their loved ones. Praying for the speedy recovery of those injured.”
