Srinagar, Jun 01: A youth hailing from Bandipora district allegedly committed suicide by jumping into river jhelum in Chattabal area of Srinagar this afternoon.
Reports reaching Asian News Hub indicated that a young man from Bandipora district, who was at JVC Hospital with his father for treatment of a disorder, escaped from the hospital and jumped into the River Jhelum at Bharave Ghat in Chattabal.

Meanwhile, a massive rescue operation has been launched to retrieve his body.
