Aatif while talking with news agency—KNO said that he was interested in sports since his childhood and right from his early age he started taking part in sports competitions at zone and district levels.

He said that he has represented J&K four times at national level and once at International level and has bagged bronze and silver medals at national level and gold and other medals at the international level.

“I am also now planning to organize sports events in the area with help of some NGOs to provide local youth a platform in showcasing their talent,” he said.

Aatif said that youth of J&K are very much talented but lack of infrastructure is restricting them from pursuing their dreams.

“Government must organise talent hunt shows and develop infrastructure so that youth of J&K can showcase their talent,” he said. “My aim is to help those youth who have become drug addicts by involving them in sports activities and keep them away from drugs.”
