Weatherman predicts erratic weather conditions till April 18

(Asian News Hub) – The chilly weather conditions have returned to Kashmir after the higher reaches experienced fresh snowfall and plains received light to moderate rainfall on Thursday. The weatherman here has predicted more light snow or rainfall in Kashmir till April 18.

Officials in the Meteorological department (MeT) said that several higher reaches in north Kashmir including the world famous ski-resort, Gulmarg have experienced fresh snowfall today.

The light to moderate intermittent rains, however, lashed plains of Kashmir, resulting in a dip in the temperature.

Deputy Director MeT, Mukhtar Ahmad said that the wet weather conditions would continue to prevail till April 18 afternoon. “There is possibility of light snowfall in higher reaches of Kashmir and rains in plains in the next few days till April 18 afternoon,” he said.

He added that the weather would start improving from April 18 afternoon till April 20 following which another wet spell as per the forecast will be recorded in Kashmir.

“At present, we are predicting erratic weather conditions till April 22,” he said.
