12th results: After nearly two decades, Kashmir records over 80% passing score

(Asian News Hub) – In nearly two decades, the students of Kashmir valley recorded the best results of 80.46 percent in annual regular examination of 12th standard.

According to the figures maintained by the Board of School Education (BOSE), Kashmir division has recorded best results in 18 years.

The news agency—KNO, has learnt that BOSE in figures notified on Monday said that in the year 2003, a total of 48.89 pass percentage was recorded in which 29,546 out of which 14,446 passed it.

BOSE said that in 2004, a total of 45.70 students of 12th standard had qualified the exams followed by 44.95 percent students in 2005, 49.96 percent in 2006, 44.62 percent in the year 2007 and in 2008, at least 53.50 percent students had qualified the annual regular exams of 12th standard.

In the year 2008, only 53.50 percent students qualified it followed by 55.10 percent in 2009.

In the year 2009, at least 46,367 students had appeared for the examination in which 25,546 successfully qualified it.

BOSE figures also reveal that in this year 2010, at least 55.51 percent students had qualified the exams and in 2011, at least 58.97 percent students qualified it.

“In 2012, at least 58.95 percent cracked the exams followed by 52.08 percent students in 2013, in 2014 at least 55.18 percent qualified the exams, and 57.19 percent students qualified it in 2015 and in 2016, at least 75.47 percent qualified it,” BOSE said.

The figures further state that in 2017, at least 61.44 percent students qualified the exams followed by the year 2018 wherein 51.77 percent students qualified the exams, in 2019, at least 76.08 percent qualified the exams.
