An army soldier was killed during blasting for road construction in the Putaha Khan Gali area of Trehgam, in the North Kashmir district of Kupwara.
A senior police officer told that an explosion was used for road construction, which accidentally critically injured an army soldier. He was immediately shifted to Drugmulla Military Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased army soldier has been identified as Havildar Zubair Ahmad of 13 J&K light infantry.
