The deceased, Khushboo Jan, wife of Zubair Ahmed Bhat of Pushwara Khanabal, was admitted on Saturday for delivery and underwent a surgical procedure. According to her husband, she later complained of dizziness and her condition deteriorated despite repeated intimation to the medical staff. He alleged that she was administered a cold glucose drip and was subsequently taken back to the operating theatre, where doctors informed the family that her uterus needed to be removed.

She was later referred to GMC Anantnag, where she died on ventilation late Sunday night.
