Riyadh, Nov 17: In a tragic incident near Medina on Monday, at least 42 Umrah pilgrims are feared dead after a bus carrying them collided with a diesel tanker, according to local Saudi media reports.
The victims are believed to be Indian nationals from Hyderabad. Authorities are in the process of confirming identities and verifying the total number of casualties.
The crash triggered a massive blaze after the collision, leaving the bus completely gutted. Emergency teams rushed to the site, but the intensity of the fire has made rescue efforts challenging.
