New Delhi, Nov 12: The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the recent car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort. The tragic incident, which occurred on November 10 evening, claimed several lives and left many injured.
During the meeting, the Cabinet observed a two-minute silence in memory of those who lost their lives and passed a resolution condemning the attack in the strongest terms.
In the resolution, the Cabinet described the blast as a “heinous act of terror” carried out by anti-national elements. It extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

The Cabinet also appreciated the swift action of medical staff, security agencies, and emergency responders who worked tirelessly to help the victims. It further acknowledged the global messages of solidarity and support received from various countries following the attack.
Reaffirming India’s “zero tolerance” policy towards terrorism, the Cabinet directed that the investigation be carried out with full urgency and professionalism to ensure that the culprits and their supporters are brought to justice at the earliest.

The statement added that the situation is being closely monitored by the government and assured citizens of the Centre’s firm commitment to national security and the safety of all Indians.
