Srinagar, Nov 05: A 70-year-old man lost his life after being hit by a vehicle while crossing the road in Awantipora this afternoon.
Officals told that the elderly pedestrian was first taken to SDH Awantipora and later referred to SMHS Hospital for advanced treatment. However, he could not survive the injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Ghulam Rasool Chopan, a resident of Padgam Pora Awantipora, they said.

He was hit by vehicle while crossing the road, resulting in severe head trauma, they said.
Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway. (KNC)
