Srinagar, Oct 23: From the calm lanes of Srinagar’s Habbak area, Shaheena Majid is inspiring hundreds across Kashmir to live healthier and more confident lives. A certified fitness trainer at Muscle Blast Unisex Gym, Burzhama, Shaheena has become a symbol of strength, dedication, and empowerment.
With almost eight years of experience, Shaheena has worked with several top gyms including Titans, The Game Changer, and Muscle Factory. She holds a Postgraduate degree and a B.Ed, and is currently preparing for her PhD, proving that education and fitness can go hand in hand.
“From the very beginning, I wanted to become a fitness trainer,” she said. “My goal was to help people take charge of their health and feel good about themselves.”

Breaking stereotypes wasn’t easy in a conservative society, but Shaheena never gave up. “I’ve always believed that women can achieve anything if they are determined,” she said. “Fitness builds not just the body, but also confidence and mental strength.”
Deeply concerned about drug abuse among Kashmiri youth, Shaheena urges young people to turn to fitness instead. “Exercise gives positive energy and focus. It teaches discipline and helps youth stay away from bad habits,” she advised.
Shaheena is especially passionate about encouraging women to focus on their health. “When women work out, they become more confident and happy. Health should always come first,” she added.
Through her hard work and positive message, Shaheena Majid is paving the way for a stronger and healthier Kashmir.
Her advice to the youth, “Believe in yourself. Set your goals, stay focused, and never give up — you can achieve anything.”
