Baramulla, Oct 19: A 17-year-old youth from Sheerpora area of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district died after receiving a severe electric shock at his residence on Sunday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Nasir Ahmad Baba, son of Ghulam Mohammad Baba, an 11th class student, officials said.

They said that soon after the incident, he was shifted to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Pattan, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated proceedings. (KNC)
