Srinagar, Aug 30: Shaadi.com founder and Shark Tank India investor Anupam Mittal described Kashmir as safer, more beautiful than Europe, and unmatched in hospitality, urging tourists to visit the Valley without hesitation.
“For one-tenth of the price, you’ll find beauty ten times greater than Europe. Why spend so much going there when it’s right here in our own backyard? In Kashmir, you feel at home, your heart connects, and you find joy. The hospitality here is unmatched,” Mittal said during his family trip to Srinagar.
Sharing his experience he added, “Kashmir is open for tourists, it’s open for business. I’m here with my family and not for a single second have we felt unsafe. So please come, and bring your wallets with you.”

His remarks come at a time when Kashmir’s tourism sector has seen a dip in arrivals following the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, though efforts are being made to restore confidence among travelers.
Earlier, Mittal and his wife, actress Anchal Kumar, also visited Bayaan located in Baghat Srinagar, owned by Faheem Raja. During the visit, he interacted with local entrepreneurs and encouraged them to pursue their ideas with persistence and resilience.
