Srinagar, Aug 29: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Friday said that Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness generally dry weather conditions till September 7.
As per the forecast, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain or thundershower at isolated places of Jammu division between August 30 and September 2. However, no major weather activity is expected across the Union Territory during this period.
From September 3 to 7, the weather is expected to remain hot and humid, though brief spells of rain or thundershower may occur at a few places.

The department has also advised people in hilly and vulnerable areas to remain cautious as even light rainfall could trigger minor landslides or shooting stones.
