Budgam, Aug 13: Budgam Police on Wednesday said they have registered an FIR over a mischief incident in Ichgam, where miscreants allegedly attempted to incite sectarian tensions.
According to the police, a team was present at the spot and collected evidence, which is now being analysed as part of a fair and impartial investigation. Those involved are being identified, and legal action will follow under relevant provisions of law.

The statement warned that some elements are spreading misinformation and fake news on social media to create communal discord. Such acts, police said, will be dealt with strictly under the law.
