Budgam, Aug 05: In a tragic incident, two young men from Ichgam village suffered an electric shock while bathing in a spring, resulting in the death of one person and leaving the other in critical condition in central Kashmir’s Budgam district this morning.
Reports said that the victims, identified as Arfat Ahmed, son of Imtiyaz Ahmed, and Zeeshan Ahmed, son of Qayoom Ahmed, received an electric shock while bathing in a spring when a wire suddenly fell into the water, electrocuting both youths.
They said, they were immediately rushed to Budgam hospital, where doctors declared Zeeshan Ahmed dead on arrival. The condition of Arfat Ahmed is said to be critical.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.
