New Delhi, July 22: A Delhi court on Tuesday granted custody parole to jailed Jammu and Kashmir MP Engineer Rashid to attend the ongoing monsoon session of Parliament. The parole is effective from July 24 to August 4.
Engineer Rashid, the newly elected Lok Sabha MP from Baramulla, is currently lodged in Tihar Jail under charges related to a 2017 terror funding case investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The custody parole was approved by Additional Sessions Judge Chander Jit Singh, while a detailed court order is awaited.
