Srinagar, July 21: Senior BJP leader and DDC Member Srinagar, Er. Aijaz Hussain, visited the Rajbagh area of Srinagar on Monday, where a massive fire recently left six families homeless.
During his visit, Er. Hussain personally met with each affected family, offering emotional support and solidarity. “Your loss is not yours alone—it is ours as a community. You are not alone in this tragedy. We are with you, and we will help you rebuild,” he said while consoling the victims.
Er. Hussain was accompanied by local representatives and also interacted with Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, and ADC Adil Fareed, urging them to expedite the damage assessment and provide immediate relief. The administration assured prompt action to support the affected households.
As an immediate relief measure, Er. Aijaz Hussain announced a donation of his two months’ salary to the victims of the Rajbagh fire, reinforcing his commitment to the people of Srinagar.

He also assured continuous monitoring of the situation and promised to coordinate with the administration to ensure adequate compensation, rehabilitation, and long-term support for the victims.
The visit brought a sense of hope to the distressed families, who expressed gratitude for the timely intervention and support extended by Er. Hussain.
