Srinagar, July 09: Several parts of Jammu and Kashmir are currently experiencing rainfall, with the Meteorological Centre Srinagar forecasting continued light to moderate rain and thunderstorms over the next 4 to 6 hours.

Areas affected include the Kashmir Valley, Poonch, Rajouri, Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar, Reasi, Udhampur, and the plains of Jammu.

The MET department has warned that some places may witness intense showers, which could trigger flash floods, landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones. Strong gusty winds with speeds up to 40-50 km/h are also likely in some regions.

People, especially travellers, are advised to remain cautious, stay updated, and follow the latest advisories issued by the administration and traffic department.
