Sopore, Jun 27: Sopore Police have detained three individuals under the Public Safety Act (PSA) for their involvement in activities considered harmful to the security and peace of Jammu and Kashmir.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Irfan Mohiuddin Dar, son of Gh. Mohiuddin Dar, resident of Sangrampora Sopore, Mohd Asif Khan, son of Ab. Rehman Khan, resident of Harwan Bomai, and Gowhar Maqbool Rather, son of Mohd Maqbool Rather, resident of Hardushiva
According to police, despite being previously booked under several cases including the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the trio continued to stay in touch with terror handlers across the border. They reportedly used encrypted platforms like VOIP and VPNs to avoid detection and were allegedly involved in influencing local youth towards anti-national activities.

After thorough investigation and monitoring, authorities issued formal detention orders. All three have been shifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail.
Sopore Police stated that this action sends a strong message that anyone found disrupting peace or promoting subversive activities will face strict legal action. The police also thanked the public for their continued support and urged people to remain alert and report any suspicious activities.
