New Delhi, Jun 13: An Air India flight bound for New Delhi from Thailand’s Phuket was forced to make an emergency landing on Friday after a bomb threat was reported onboard, Reuters reported.
Airport authorities in Phuket confirmed that the flight received the threat shortly after takeoff, prompting swift action from the crew and officials. The aircraft safely landed back on the island, and all passengers were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
Security agencies conducted a thorough inspection of the aircraft and luggage. Authorities are yet to confirm whether any explosive device was found.
Further investigations are underway, and Air India has not issued a detailed statement as of now.
