The horse was rescued in time by GRP officials, preventing a possible accident. After investigation, the owner of the horse was identified as Gh Nabi Ganie, son of Gh Ahmad Ganie, a resident of Peth Seer. He has now been booked under relevant railway and public safety laws.

GRP Sopore has issued a strong public warning after the incident. Officials said that people must not allow animals or children near railway tracks, as these areas are dangerous and meant only for trains.

“Railway tracks are high-risk zones. Any carelessness can lead to serious accidents,” the GRP said. “Strict legal action will be taken against anyone found violating safety rules.”

The police have asked all villagers and herders, not to allow cows, horses, sheep, or any animals near the railway tracks. Not to let children walk, play, or roam around the railway lines.

The GRP also said that they are regularly monitoring railway tracks, and violators will be punished without any excuse.
