Srinagar, May 23: In response to the ongoing heatwave across Jammu and Kashmir, Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Thursday announced revised school timings for the Kashmir region, effective from May 26.
Itoo said, “I had instructed the School Education Department to revise the school timings due to the prevailing heatwave. Many parents have informed me that their children feel dizzy during morning assemblies.”
She added that all schools have been directed to avoid conducting morning assemblies in open fields to ensure student safety.
