Srinagar, May 17: A fire broke out in New Colony, Lal Bazar near the local police station this evening, partially damaging four residential houses, official said.
According to an official from F&ES, the affected houses were annexed in a U-shape, which contributed to the rapid spread of the flames.
Fire and emergency services were rushed to the spot and managed to bring the blaze under control, preventing further damage. Fortunately, no loss of life or injuries has been reported in the incident, he said.

In the incident four residential houses were partially damaged, official said.
Authorities are assessing the extent of the damage and investigating the cause of the fire.
