Srinagar, April 30: In a moment of academic excellence, Jannat Shabir Rawa from North Kashmir’s Sopore has secured joint second position in the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) Class 12 Science stream for the academic session 2024–25. She shares this top spot in the Kashmir division with Shehrish Jahangir of Nanibugh, Kulgam — both scoring an exceptional 494 out of 500 marks.

Jannat Shabir is the daughter of Dr. Shabir Ahmed Rawa, a resident of Sir-Syed Colony, Sopore, and a student of SRM Welkin Higher Secondary School, Sopore, Baramulla.

What sets Jannat apart is not just her academic brilliance but also her spiritual grounding—she is a Hafiz-e-Quran, having memorized the entire Holy Quran. Her academic record has been consistently remarkable, with 489 marks in Class 10 and 491 in Class 11, showcasing a sustained pursuit of excellence.

Speaking about her preparation strategy, Jannat emphasized the importance of time management, self-discipline, and personal dedication. “I used to study 2–3 hours daily and an additional hour or two in the morning,” she said.

While she relied on coaching classes for Chemistry, she extensively used online resources and received invaluable support from her school teachers for other subjects.

She believes staying focused and minimizing distractions is key to success: “We should prioritize our studies over spending time on social media,” she advised. “My parents and teachers have guided me at every step. I’m deeply thankful to them.”

Jannat aspires to crack NEET and enter the medical field, carrying forward her dreams with humility and hope.

To those who couldn’t qualify for the exam this time, she has a message:

“Stay focused, work hard, and trust Allah. If success didn’t come this time, it will surely come in another form, Insha’Allah.”

Her grandfather, brimming with pride, told Asian News Hub, “My son was a topper in his postgraduate studies, but today I feel even more proud of my granddaughter. She has not only topped but is also a Hafiz-e-Quran.”

The JKBOSE Class 12 results for the March session of 2024–25 were announced today, with an overall pass percentage of 74.83%.

The performance gap between genders remains significant, with 77.72% of girls passing, outshining 71.95% of boys.

Out of the total students, 970 were unable to qualify in this defining examination.
