Geneva, Dec 29: World health organization Chief Scientist warns that no evidence any COVID-19 vaccine prevents Viral transmission.
“I don’t believe we have the evidence on any of the vaccines to be confident that it’s going to prevent people from actually getting the infection and therefore being able to pass it on,” warns WHO chief scientist Soumya Swaminathan during a virtual press conference held Monday.
Indeed, a close look at the research released by Pfizer and Moderna shows that studies haven’t yet tested whether the vaccines actually prevent transmission of SARS-CoV-2, she added.
