Srinagar, Dec 27: There is fear about taps running dry everywhere—dramatically triggered by the crisis in Batwara area of Srinagar that is forcing people to depend heavily on unsustainable Water Tankers, Taps and many More.
Taking to news agency, the people said that they have been facing immense hardships due to water shortage from past 3 to 4 days, We are helpless and have to travel long to collect the water.
One of the residents of the area Wahid Reshi said that, “In the entire Srinagar district, Our area is the worst-affected due to water shortage”.
Another local Resident, who wished not to be named said “we approached to the Jal Shakti Department many times but nothing was done while we are being forced to drink contaminated water, Which is affecting our health.”
Now we urge the higher authorities of Jal Shakti Department to take necessary steps and solve their problem at the earliest, he added.( With Agencies)
