Baramulla, Jan 29: A labourer lost his life after receiving an electric shock while carrying out repair work in the Rafiabad area of Baramulla district this evening.
According to reports, the deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Nazir Ahmad Khan, a resident of Uri. He sustained a fatal electric shock while working in the Chejama Rafiabad area.
He was immediately rushed to SDH Sopore for treatment, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Nazir Ahmad was the sole breadwinner of his family and is survived by his five children.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident, and an investigation is underway.
