Srinagar, Jan 18: A teenage boy lost his life in a tragic road accident in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district this evening.

Reports said that 15-year-old Basit Shafi Mir, son of Mohammad Shafi Mir and a resident of Mughalpora, Kupwara, sustained critical injuries after being hit by a vehicle this evening.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment but was declared brought dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation.
