Srinagar, Aug 03: A teenager died after slipping into the river Kishenganga at Gurez in Bandipora district of north Kashmir while taking a bath, officials said Saturday.
Quoting an official news agency KNC reported that a 16-year-old boy drowned to death after slipping into the river Kishanganga this afternoon. Efforts were made by the locals to save him but he couldn’t be saved.
Officials identified the deceased as Farman Majeed, son of Majeed Lone of Markoot, Gurez.
A pall of gloom descended on the family, when the body of teenager was handed over to them as his parents and relatives were seen beating chests and crying in pain, they said.
